It's a weird fuckin world where writing a story where fascists are the unambiguous villains makes you a fascist sympathizer.— Nick Spencer (@nickspencer) April 17, 2017
It's a weird situation where somebody's not willing to admit turning Steve Rogers into a nazi collaborator is exactly why nobody likes what he's trying to sell them. If that's all Spencer can say, and won't admit his "writing" is tasteless and artless, then he's evidently unrepentant for the embarrassment he's lent his "talents" to. If there's any writers at Marvel now who need to be let go at a time when they've been exposed for all the failures they're proving to be, Spencer's one of them. Their superhero titles and other such books won't work so long as pseudo-writers like him are given the assignments.
Well, it's a weird f*cking world where a religion that preaches forgiveness, redemption, and "turn the other cheek" is routinely denounced as bigoted, while a religion that preaches "kill the infidels wherever you find them" is praised for being peaceful and tolerant.
ReplyDeleteIt's a weird f*cking world where Muslim terrorists murder innocent victims, and the US attorney general responds by threatening to "take action" against anyone who says anything that might be interpreted (or misinterpreted) as "anti-Muslim rhetoric."
It's a weird f*cking world where a mass murderer pledges allegiance to ISIS, and the president of the Human Rights Campaign says that the killer was "taught to hate by a (Christian) preacher on Sunday morning."
It's a weird world where British voters who voted for Brexit are denounced as "fascist," while the "liberals" voted to remain in a centralized, authoritarian, German-dominated hegemony.
It's a weird world where "tolerant progressives" want to import an intolerant, retrograde, homophobic, sexist, ideology.
It's a weird world where citizens who voted for job creation and secure borders are denounced as "Brown Shirts," while thugs who use Sturmabteilung methods (rioting, arson, bomb-throwing, vandalism, assault) are "peaceful protesters" and "anti-fascists."
Welcome to Bizarro World.
