DC just hired the wrong woman to write WW
Writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Cary Nord are taking over DC Comics' Wonder Woman ongoing with November 14's Wonder Woman #58. Their first storyline, "The Just War," begins with Wonder Woman going to save Steve Trvor after his military unit come up missing in action while inside a war-torn Eastern European country; while investigating, Diana finds Ares.Well I think this says all we need to know about where he stands on her own leftist politics...and religion. She already pushed enough Islamic propaganda into the Muslim Ms. Marvel series, so we can only wonder what she has in store for this tale? I get the feeling it's supposed to be a metaphor for the Bosnia vs. Serbia war, which happens to have been started by Bosnian Muslims themselves. And are we supposed to believe Ares started such a war, not the Religion of Peace itself? Either way, it doesn't take much to figure Wilson's planned story, metaphorical or not, won't be very appealing.
"When Steve Trevor’s unit goes missing in an Eastern European country torn by revolution, Wonder Woman immediately flies across the globe to help him - only to slam into the brick wall that is Ares, the God of War, who’s taken a strange interest in this conflict," reads DC's description of the arc. "But why is Ares acting so strange? Has he turned over a new leaf? Does Wonder Woman have a chance to redeem him? And just as important...if Ares has returned to Earth, then what happened to the supposedly unbreachable prison built to contain him—Wonder Woman’s homeland, Themyscira?"
DC Co-Publisher Dan DiDio descibes Wilson's hiring as "an incredible opportunity" for the publisher, saying DC "couldn't be more excited.
“Keeping our core audience engaged requires having the best storytellers around, and she’s definitely a great addition to our current list of writing talent," DiDio said.
Of all the defeatist steps DC could've taken, this has to be one of the worst. To give Bill Marston's famous Amazon fighter to somebody as awful as Wilson is one of the biggest slaps in the face possible, and just another reason why DiDio's bad news for the company.

If by Islamic propaganda, you mean a message that not all Muslims are terrorists, that some are decent people living ordinary lives, that some are opposed to terrorism and hate Muslim terrorists for giving the rest of the community a bad name, that second generation immigrants in the United States are trying to balance wanting to fit in with American culture on the one hand and their allegiance to family and tradition on the other, that Muslims can be geeks and nerds too - then I guess Wilson is putting Islamic propaganda into her stories.
There are well over 3 million Muslims in the United States (more than there are in the State of Israel, where they are a much larger percentage of the population); they can't all be terrorists.

Terrorists are snakes in the grass. "Moderate" Muslims are the grass in which they hide.

After every terrorist attack, politicians in the US and UK insist that Islam had nothing whatever to do with it.
Millions of Muslims are peaceable. But millions condone terrorism.
Pew Research polls found that 88% of Muslims in Egypt,, 62% in Pakistan, and 86% in Jordan, want Sharia law. That includes a death penalty for apostasy (i.e., leaving the religion), and execution or imprisonment for criticizing Islam.
The Koran (unlike the Judeo-Christian bible) explicitly calls on its followers to kill "non-believers." (i.e., non-Muslims)
In France, 35% of Muslims said that terrorist bombings, targeting unarmed civilians, were sometimes justified. In the UK, 78% of Muslims said that cartoonists who insulted Islam should be prosecuted.
Judaism and Christianity went through their violent, war mongering phases-thousands of years ago. They eventually outgrew it. Maybe Islam will, someday. But it hasn't, yet.
During the Cold War, Soviet dissidents like Solzenitsyn ans Sakharov were generally admired in the West. But, today, Muslim reformers like Tawfiq Hamid and Asra Nomani are denounced as bigots by American "liberals."
In the US, radical Muslims are a minority, but a significant, not "tiny," minority. 19% have a favorable opinion of Bin Laden, and 13% say that terrorist attacks could be justified.
Further, to focus on terrorism is an over-simplification. The problem is also with immigrants who do not assimilate. They segregate themselves in enclaves, where they practice and enforce their own laws, contrary to the secular laws of Western civilization.
A basic American principle is separation of church and state. Many Muslims, although not terrorists, want Sharia law. And they can outbreed other ethnic and religious groups, become a majority, and then vote in the laws they want.

Israel has sharia law and sharia courts; there is no death penalty there for leaving the Muslim religion or criticizing Islam. If you get married in a Muslim wedding ceremony, you need sharia law to get a religious divorce, among many other reasons for it.
Just about every immigrant group clusters in 'enclaves' when they first arrive in the country; that is fairly typical. You can even argue that middle class white people cluster in enclaves; that is what they used to call 'white flight' to the suburbs.
Christianity's violent phase is far from over; just look at the bombings of and attacks on abortion clinics by fundamentalist Christians, among many other things.
If radical Muslims are a small minority of the Muslim population in the United States, according to the above post, doesn't that mean that Muslims like Ms Marvel are fairly typical? If that is the case, she cannot be considered misleading propaganda.
