Interviewing Stan Lee in a Jeep Cherokee

Hey, this is cool. The Springfield News Sun of Ohio (registration required) interviewed Stan Lee during a car trip around NYC.
Lee just had to see one of the billboards using his oversized mug to advertise a library-sponsored speech that night in Kuss Auditorium.

[...]

“What a nice feeling, knowing people are interested in what I’ve done,” he said earlier. “What can be more pleasurable?”
Yes, of course, it's a very good thing. And it's great to see that Stan the Man is still lively at eighty-three years old too.

Update: in related content, Comicon's Pulse features an article that explains how Stan Lee succeeded in winning against Marvel after they so blatantly tried to give him the shaft.

And, here's a link to Stan the Man's 1998 contract online, for more info.

I am so glad that good ol' Stan is finally getting the wages Marvel owes him. It's about time!

  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
