Nic Nemeth, who was released from WWE in September, has made significant move in his pro wrestling career by landing a role in a film adaptation. He is set to star as Thunder in Imagos Films‘ live-action adaptation of Kyle Starks’ comic book, “The Legend of Ricky Thunder,” titled “Absolute Thunder.”Well at least this time, it's not Big Two superheroes we're hearing about in live action. If this is written and acted well, then who knows, audiences might be encouraged to take a look. But if it turns out to be the kind of story that's made on a shoestring budget, something tells me that'll be reason to give pause, recalling there were quite a few low budget movies during the 80s and 90s that were real duds and utter jokes. With the worst part surely being that today, those laughless jokes have since morphed into mega-budget movies in Hollywood that're woke.
The film’s storyline revolves around Thunder, a legendary wrestler who grapples with the scripted nature of his success and faces the added challenge of real aliens plotting world domination through professional wrestling.
