Recent Wolverine/Deadpool story employs gore
The storyline appeared in issues of “Wolverine” but the title trades the usually gritty gloom of Wolverine for the breaking-the-fourth-wall zaniness of a Deadpool comic. It’s all fun and games and gore but like the Deadpool movies not for the kids. The story arc is collected in Volume 4 of “Wolverine’s” current run.Anybody who's a realist must wonder what's so "fun" about a tale reliant on gore, no matter what Logan's solo adventures were known for in the past. And telling us this isn't for kids is no excuse. As an adult, I find it embarrassing the marketers seem to believe this is what I literally want. I don't want graphic gore, and it particularly offends me as a Marvel fan, because this is what publishers in general seem to believe Marvel fans utterly crave. Not so. There was violence in the older Wolverine stories up to the turn of the century, but it was nothing like what we're seeing now. That's why the modern stories pale next to last century's far better offerings, which could also provide what to make the audience think.
To think, that despite allegedly jettisoning grittiness of the usual Wolverine stories, this tale still relies on gore, which contradicts what they're supposedly setting out to do with Deadpool mixed in. It's just not workable.

The Wolverine and X-Force titles are full of disgusting gore thanks to Percy. And there's no sign of him leaving.
