Big Hollywood's ComiCon updates

Here are some entries two of Big Hollywood's contributors have been writing on their SDCCI attendance. Doug TenNapel writes more about his visit here, here and here, and James Hudnall has some more over here.

Update: one more from TenNapel.

Update: TenNapel enters another post, and says that many comic creators dreaded the movie/game industry's moving in on the convention. But, he says at the end:
Comics have been around since the pyramids but video games and movies are relatively new to the scene. The medium of comics will outlive them and the Comic-Con will survive Hollywood’s flavor-of-the-decade interest just fine. In the meanwhile, it’s nice to sell books with Jennifer Love Hewitt signing right next door.
Well, let's hope so. But it'll only be if the writers, editors and publishers shape up and stop pandering to low denominators.

Update: one more from Hudnall.

Update: John Nolte provides plenty of photos.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
