Dick Giordano, 1932-2010
It's sad to learn that Dick Giordano, one of the most famous inkers/artists and editors, has passed away at 77 years old. While not without flaws, he was one of the better contributors to comics in his time.
Plus, he also expressed regret at his own role in darkening comics.

Another great one has gone on to Comic Book Valhalla. D.G. was a class act, no doubt about it. I remember reading not too long ago that he regretted being one of the people involved in the "darkening" of super-heroes that started with "Watchmen" and "The Dark Knight" and has continued ever since. I doubt he ever envisioned anything like the crap that's being produced today back in the mid-1980s.
