Graphic brain extractions in Avengers and Cable
The Red Skull removes the brain tissue of Charles Xavier from his body. And, in Cable and X-Force #2:
Cable's own head has been opened and brain taken out. Now I can probably believe that a villain like the Red Skull is willing to stoop to sadism like that given his nazi background, but since this scene stinks of sensationalism and an effort to exert baseless hatred upon the good professor as a character, that's why the former visual only comes off as repellant and worthless while the latter is merely an exercise in futility. And since when were the Avengers and X-Men ever meant to be horror thrillers? Is this what the Marvel Now pseudo-project is going to amount to? Ugh.
Labels: Avengers, marvel comics, violence, X-Men
And suddenly the Red Skull is the Ultra-Humanite? Or is it a Hitler's brain thingy?
Either way- thanks but no thanks.

I almost threw up when I saw those panels... it's beyond revolting. I'd expect this kind of s*** in a cannibal movie, NOT in a superhero comic.
