Bakersfield comicon is like what older conventions used to be

ABC's TurnTo23 has a report about the Bakersfield, CA Comicon, and says:
According to The Big Bang Theory, Bakersfield Comic-Con is a lot smaller than San Diego Comic-Con. It is more about the comic books, the way these conventions used to be before they went all Hollywood.A telling clue for where the SDCC is really getting much of its audience from today, and one more reason why it's inexplicable they continue to call themselves "comicons" when they should really be calling themselves "moviecons", "showbizcons" or entertainicons", since they're about far more than just comics now.
