John Byrne thinks there simply have to be gays featured in comics, even if isn't realistically done

He said that:

Well if that's what he thinks, so be it, but if no dissent on the belief system/lifestyle is allowed, and no arguments about whether it's a poor influence, then it's only dishonest and one-sided.

Furthermore, if there do need to be gays featured in comics, then by that logic, there should be Egyptian Copts, Armenians, Romanians, Kenyans, Basque, Burmese, Danish, Croatians and Samis from Scandanavia featured in comics, and not just as supeheroes, but as co-stars. And why? Because there's people of those nationalities and ethnic backgrounds in real life too. Pretty lazy of Byrne to be telling everybody there need to be gays in comics if he won't make the same case for anybody else.

By Byrne's logic, comics should reflect reality by depicting Muslim terrorists, black muggers, Hispanic drug dealers, and hypocritical, fatuous limousine liberals.

I demand drugged-up crazy guys that eat people's faces, because they do exist. Preferably in Johnny DC and Marvel Adventures titles.

You do realize that that is NOT actually John Byrne writing those tweets, right?
