Paul Allor takes a White Guilt Trip
When I was Michael Brown's age and younger, I got high too much. I was a thief and a vandal and an even bigger asshole than I am now... 1/2

But I'm white, so I was given space, time, benefit of the doubt and second/third/eighteenth chances to get my shit together. 2/2 #noangel

Here's the umpteenth comics writer taking everything out of context about the cause of the Ferguson riots, and thinks this is all just a racial thing. Nor is he willing to come to terms with the news that Darren Wilson was badly beaten by Brown and sustained an eye injury. And I guess he doesn't think it's possible for a black person to be racist towards a white person either. Just today, it's been reported that a white Marine was assaulted by Blacks in Mississippi in a "revenge" attack:
A White former Marine suffered a severe brain injury after a group of Black men beat him at a Mississippi restaurant in an apparent ‘revenge’ attack for the killing of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. So, I guess Allor's the kind of white left-wing male who never experienced or heard of anti-white racism. Right? Back in Ferguson, an Asian-American business was attacked during the rioting, and there was another white man beaten with a hammer by 4 blacks. Racism comes in many forms, yet Allor's only interested in one single kind, and takes the MSM's coverage - the real racism here - at face value. He might want to consider that despite shameful demonization coming from the MSM, the public hasn't been fooled, as this latest polling tells.
Ralph Weems and his friend David Knighten were at a West Point Waffle House Saturday morning around 1am. Weems was already inside the resturant when Knighten was approached by another patron who said the men should leave since a group of Black diners were “upset by the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and it wasn’t a safe place for whites,” Knighten told the Associated Press.
When Knighten went in to check on his friend, he found Weems already involved in an nasty argument with the Black men over the Brown incident.
Racial slurs were shouted at both men and police were called to the scene, but no physical contact had yet been made. After police had seemingly restored order, Weems and Knighten left the Waffle House and went to eat at a second restaurant, Huddle House, which had few patrons inside at that late hour, according to the AP.
However, a group of Black men had followed Weems and Knighten to Huddle House where they resumed shouting racial slurs at the White men, pushed Weems to the ground and began kicking him in the head repeatedly, said Knighten.
Police did not arrive until at about 2am after the crowd who beat Weems fled on foot.
Weems was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center, where his injuries were so severe that he had to be put in a medically induced coma following brain surgery from injuries sustained during the beating by the enraged mob.
Now if Allor's doing a good job writing Ninja Turtles and GI Joe, then I'd advise him to just stick with that, and not take White Male Guilt Trips. The less political most comics writers are, we'd have some improvement.

There has also been a cross-racial police shooting in Salt Lake City, Utah. So far, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have not made any speeches about it, Benjamin Crump has not filed a suit to shake down Salt Lake City, the FBI has not investigated the case, Reichsfuhrer Holder has not bussed in any "spontaneous protestors," and Obama, as usual, is playing golf.
The difference: the deceased in the Utah incident was white, and the cop was "not white." (Actually, there is one other difference: the suspect in Utah did not beat up the cop before the cop shot him.)
I am not saying the shooting in Salt Lake City was not justified. As with Ferguson, I want to know all the facts before forming an opinion. News reports say the man was unarmed, but one fact that is certain is that the mainstream media are unreliable. Maybe the guy was armed and the shooting was justified. Or maybe the guy made a furtive movement (like reaching in his waistband after being told to raise his hands), and the shooting was excusable.
But, of course, if you are willing to give the cop in Ferguson that same benefit of doubt, you are a racist. The politically correct position is that the cop is white, therefore he's guilty. And Michael Brown was black, therefore he's a Boy Scout, an altar boy, an honor student, and a saint. And don't try to confuse Allor or Marz with facts.
And a lot of us did some stupid things when we were teenagers. But, for most of us, the list would not include robbery and assault. There is a difference between "stupid" and "criminal."

I don't doubt that Paul Allor got away with stuff when he was young, but that's likely because of class, not race. Maybe his father had connections, and could ask the local police chief to fix a traffic ticket. Or maybe the Allor family could afford to hire a hot shot lawyer, and the district attorney decided to drop charges because the county could not afford to spend as much on the prosecution as the Allors could spend on the defense.
Limousine liberals tend to assume that all white people are rich, and that all black people are poor. In fact, most whites are not rich, and white criminals usually don't get away with more crimes than their black counterparts. (With our revolving-door legal system, a lot of criminals, regardless of race, get turned loose before the cops even have time to finish writing the arrest reports.)
When race is a factor in prosecution and sentencing, black criminals are, statistically, more likely to get breaks (reduced charges, parole, commuted sentences) than white criminals.
