Will "Love is Love" acknowledge the facts about the Orlando shooter's background?

The New York Times (via Orlando Weekly) recently reported that DC and IDW are publishing a joint project called "Love is Love" to honor the victims of the jihad attack in Orlando at a gay nightclub. One of the contributors, Marc Andreyko, said:
“Events like this shouldn’t be compartmentalized,” he said. “They should hurt and we should want to change for the better.”
Point: if they really want to change anything for the better, then will their planned special acknowledge that Omar Mateen was a Muslim, and that his crime was a form of lone-wolf jihadism? If they don't get into this, then not only have their failed the quest they're allegedly taking, they're also compartmentalizing what they claim shouldn't be, in a manner of speaking. Let's be clear: if facts aren't stressed, then how can they say they're honoring anyone if they won't explore the criminal's motivations?

If I had a farm, I would bet it that "Love Is Love" will downplay or ignore Islam as the killer's motivation. There may be references to it as a "hate crime" motivated by homophobia. And maybe some anti-gun propaganda, blaming the NRA.

The Left is in absolute denial. After the San Bernardino massacre, MSNBC reported that the Inland Regional Center was "only a few blocks away" from a Planned Parenthood clinic. (The actual distance was 1.5 miles.) And the director of the Human Rights Campaign said on MSNBC that the Orlando massacre was the result of a "deranged individual" being "taught to hate by a preacher on Sunday morning." The killer did not attend a Christian church on Sunday, he attended a mosque several times a week. That mosque was suspected of ties to ISIS, but the FBI and Department of Homeland Security were obstructed from investigating it by Hillary Clinton's State Department.

Another day, another gun rampage here in America. Is there any reason why it has become another regrettable part of our lives?
