Here's a picture of the letter page from Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #68 from July 1982, featuring a request from a reader that we can all relate to today:
The first correspondent was glad to see some of Spidey's regular cast making rounds a few issues back. But above all, what he would really appreciate at the time was if Mary Jane Watson would be reunited with Peter Parker (from 1979 to 1983, they'd split up, before finally reuniting). He thought they make a great couple. And the editors assured him we hadn't seen the last of MJ.
And those are sentiments we True Believers can all agree with.
