Greg Rucka supports bringing in the infiltrators

It's not often I've seen overrated Rucka make political statements in his own words, but if the following thread he posted on Twitter says anything, he's signaling his support for open borders, and supports propaganda that families are literally being separated by the Trump administration, even though they've made an effort recently to ensure otherwise (and separation had already been done earlier under the Obama administration):
Only $1400? Even Richard C. Meyer raised a lot more than that in less time for his Jawbreakers GN project ($300,000-plus, as I recall). Such a paltry sum on Rucka's part is enough to make me giggle. He can act like everything's rosy all he wants, but if the leftists he was appealing to really cared, he'd have a million-plus dollars in the bank right now. A few thousand is nothing, and besides, if he's going within even miles of condoning illegal infiltration, he's set a very poor example for comics creators. Some of the illegal immigrants, it turns out, are merely posing as families, when in actuality, they're not.
The example Rucka's setting is a very poor one, and does no favors for comicdom's reputation, political or otherwise. No wonder I'm glad if he no longer works at DC/Marvel.

Where was this campaign in 2014?

Does this mean that Trump is not separating families? That seems odd, because a federal judge just issued a court order that he reunite the separated families within 30 days.
Trump has been president for over a year now; the "it never happened and besides it was Obama who did it" line is getting a bit old.
