What does it say when Marvel closes their digital store?
Marvel Comics is shutting down the Marvel Digital Comics Shop at comicstore.marvel.com on June 2, 2020, the publisher announced in a newsletter to users. So what's been uploaded to the site until now will remain available for the time being, but no more new content will follow? But that aside, what could be the reason they've had to shut down? Well, it's a sign people may not be buying, in no small part due to the politically correct stories they flooded themselves with over the past several years, no matter how much money it lost them, and now, it does seem to have taken a toll. All because of the stunningly poor conduct they maintained over the past 20 years or so, which could've been avoided, and sadly, they refused to separate their politics from the art.
After June 2, readers will still be able to purchase Marvel digital comics and continue to read their existing Marvel digital comics library directly via the Marvel Comics app and the comiXology store.
