Another example of Marvel's attacks on whites

Here's a picture I found with a discussion between Iron Man and Hellcat:
A scene where the latter implies that the former is a white man with a "god complex". I don't know where or what book this panel is from, but it sure is sad to see they're perpetuating this whole denigration of whites by making anybody of such a background out to be a jerk who's got a "privilege". This is what takes away showbiz value from the stories.

Even before she was renamed Hellcat, the Cat was conceived as a feminist icon; while Tony Stark has always been an arrogant but charismatic billionnaire (more arrogant ever since Robert Downey Jr brought him to screen life). So this dialogue is both true to life and true to their respective characters. The conflict of values, and the connection with the way real people talk, adds to the entertainment value.

It would have been more interesting if you had included Tony's reply.

"The conflict of values, and the connection with the way real people talk, adds to the entertainment value."

That's not how real people talk. Well, normal people, anyway. And there's nothing entertaining about feminist lectures.

What about Masculine Lectures?

"What about Masculine Lectures?"

Nice non-sequitur there.

  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
