The Bronx Times has a brief announcing that a street in the NYC neighborhood where he'd once lived will be renamed in his honor:
The man who brought us Spider Man, X-Men, Iron Man and many more famous Marvel comics, will now be forever remembered in the Bronx. That's got to be some rare good news coming from a city that today, under Bill de Blasio, is on its way to destruction. Personally, I'm also hoping there'll be some libraries, museums and other archives named after Lee in the future. For now, this is a flattering step taken to honor Stan the Man's memory.
On June 10, Councilman Fernando Cabrera held a street renaming at University Avenue between Brandt Place and West 176th Street in honor of Stan Lee. Lee, a Bronx native and legend, co-created the Hulk, Black Panther, Spider-Man and much more. Lee died Nov 12, 2018 at age 95.
Labels: good writers, history, marvel comics
