The Muslim Ms. Marvel TV show gets the lowest ratings to date for a Marvel-based adaptation
Ms. Marvel is apparently struggling to embiggen itself within the hearts of viewers, as according to a new report, the young super heroine’s solo outing has opened to the lowest viewership numbers of any of Disney Plus’ Marvel Cinematic Universe tie-in shows. In other words, seven hundred, seventy-five thousand people made any effort to watch. That's less than a million, and hardly a sustainable audience. We're certainly past the eras where several million viewers would tune into some notable action or drama series to check out the stories of the week.
On June 17th, television data analytics company SambaTV, whose data is aggregated from roughly “24 Smart TV brands from countries around the world” including LG, Sony, and Sharp, announced that only “775k US households watched the premiere of #MsMarvel on Disney+ in its first 5 days.”
Surprisingly enough, The Direct, despite the Orwellian smears they emphasize regarding the alleged "review-bombing", were willing to admit ratings were low:
Despite all of the positive reactions to the new Disney+ series, and the limitless potential that her story has, the ratings for the project's viewership in its first five days are in and they don't quite reach the same heights as other series. In fact, they're one of the worst that Marvel Studios has ever seen.In that case, why can't they comprehend the propaganda angle of the show, much like the comic, is exactly what's discouraging most people from watching? As with Disney as a whole, even Marvel studios have been going woke recently, and this is just another example of how far they've fallen down the shaft of political propaganda at the expense of genuine entertainment. Honestly though, nobody should've bothered about even the earlier live action movies and TV shows, seeing how they all came at the expense of the comics published up to the early 2000s, and have since taken a downfall artistically, no thanks to Joe Quesada. The movie machine was, in hindsight, overrated in the extreme, and something tells me it won't age well in the next decade, nor will the TV shows.
