Somebody whom Marvel should honor, but likely won't
This past week, a lady corporal in the Israel Defense Forces who'd been kidnapped to Gaza by the Hamas was rescued by IDF forces and returned safely to her home. And I noticed in press release pictures she wore the following T-shirt:
You'd think this would be something the company management would see as flattering, that the lady would wear one of their T-shirts, and that maybe they'd consider paying tribute to people like her. But tragically, the chances they'll do so are close to zero, because as has been discussed many a time before, they're long gone in terms of morale, and have practically gone out of their way to hire Muslim antisemites to write for them, and even an artist from Indonesia who's since been fired for his own subtle antisemitism.
That's the sad reality about today's Marvel, even though it's not like their record on allusions to Israel has ever been very decent since the beginning. The same goes for DC, along with several other publishers. Even now, there's no telling if they're willing to tackle serious issues, let alone display the courage to do so, as cohesion in the USA continues to crumble. And of course, it goes without saying this is exactly why the Big Two don't belong under corporate ownership.
The girl, whose name is Ori Megidish, is wearing a Marvel logo T-shirt, and it can be assumed she's a fan of the creations Jewish-born Stan Lee built up in his time as a major source of pastime entertainment, before Joe Quesada and Bill Jemas went out of their way to tear it all down at the turn of the century.🔴 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦
