Yet another LGBT comic combined with horror themes, from Dark Horse

The Daily Dead promotes a comic from Dark Horse combining 2 of the most overabundant themes seen in entertainment today, or what passes for it:
"An LGBTQIA+ romance turned deadly mystery," Summer Shadows is a new horror comic book series that will be published by Dark Horse Comics this fall, and we have first details, along with a look at cover art!

[...] Official Synopsis: "Nick Landry is on the unspoilt Greek island of Avraxos to look for his ex. Anthony was the love of his life, and without knowing why he left, Nick can’t move on. But Anthony isn’t the only one to disappear on Avraxos. Coast Guard officer Alekos Kourkoulos is on the trail of another young man missing on the island. They learn that both of the missing men fell in with the glamorous inhabitants of a jet-black super yacht, the Nyx, before vanishing. As the mystery deepens, Nick and Alekos discover that the brighter the sunshine, the darker the shadows…"
One can only wonder why even LGBT ideology leans towards this kind of embarrassingly bad direction. Either way, this is little more than combining insult and injury together. And this, selectively or otherwise, takes the place of comedy and and bright adventure, not to mention heterosexual romance? For shame. Two genres that have been overspotlighted by the press that we could do without. It decidedly doesn't reflect well on Dark Horse either.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
