The Federalist informs that a remastering of a 2006 video game titled Oblivion 2025 employs transsexuality-pandering options, quite possibly to nobody's surprise, and all this coming less than 2 decades after the original production:

In their endless quest to destroy all things fun, radical leftists have sunk their talons into yet another beloved gaming property.

“Oblivion 2025” is a remastered version of the 2006 classic game of the same name. It’s the fourth entry in the popular Elder Scrolls series, where players battle monsters, complete quests, and explore a lore-rich fantasy world.

The remake was marketed as a faithful update of the original, but instead smuggled in a smorgasbord of woke updates.

For example, several character creation settings have been altered from the original. Players no longer choose a fantasy “Race,” but an “Identity.” “Male” and “Female” were deemed too offensive and replaced with “Body Type 1” and “Body Type 2.” Sex-based ability differences that made male characters stronger than female characters have been erased in favor of a new mechanic called “Origin.”

That last change has radically broken the game.

Many players report that despite choosing a male avatar, in-game characters refer to them as female, complete with female voice lines. The mismatch stems from the separation between the “Body Type” and “Origin” categories that were paired by default in the original but can now clash thanks to woke meddling.

This definitely sounds like an utter embarrassment. Worst, a site for positing modding programs on tried to forbid any efforts to fix the atrocities:

Making matters worse, developers are now openly hostile to “mods,” files made by players that alter a game.

This anti-mod militancy is already happening with the “Oblivion” remaster. Gamers who tried to fix the character creation changes through mods were thwarted when Nexus Mods (a popular website where users can upload their mods to share with the public) removed a file that reverted “Body Type 1/2” back to “Male/Female.”

A woke site administrator claimed the mod was “intentionally antagonistic” and that “while the modification itself is not inherently a problem, the intention of the author is the problem.” After backlash, Nexus Mods was forced to backtrack and allow a similar mod to remain online, though the page still carries a community note.

Seriously, I wonder why anybody who cares doesn't just build a site of their own where they can upload these mods, though in the end, it'd be far better if all who care simply don't buy this new edition of an old game. This has got to be one of the most insufferable "remasterings" I've ever heard of, and one we decidedly don't need clogging our computer hard drives. The best place for the game would be where the title emphasizes.
