Spider-Man 3 is nearing

And to begin, Columbia is going to be first featuring the trailer on the internet. From the Sydney Daily Telegraph:
COME next May, the web slinger crawls back into cinemas but in the meantime Spider-Man has his sights set on a different kind of web - the Internet.

This afternoon fans of the comic book superhero can catch their first glimpse of the upcoming Spider-Man 3 when a trailer for the film is launched online at 2.15pm.

To watch the trailer, click here.

Original cast members Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst reprise their roles as Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson in the third instalment of the franchise, which has grossed more than $1.6 billion worldwide.

Director Sam Raimi – who helmed the first two Spider-Man films – also returns for number three, and has enlisted Topher Grace and Thomas Haden Church to join the cast.

Having become over confident in his abilities, Spidey faces his biggest challenge yet in fighting evil foes Venom (Haden Church) and Sandman (Grace). When he comes into contact with an unusual substance, Spider-Man’s behaviour deteriorates even further, putting the lives of his loved ones in danger.

Spider-Man 3 will open in cinemas across the world in May next year.
Great! I've seen the first two films in the past few years, and having seen the first film twice, it was on the second viewing that I spotted Stan Lee in a cameo.

If I've been able to find the address correctly, I think this is the direct URL for the Australian link to the trailer. (Update: yes, it is, but note that when you click ahead, it "shrinks" the browser window a little. The movie may involve more than one villain, and if you watch the trailer, you may get an idea who they are.)

Open trackbacks: Clash of Civilizations, Is it Just Me, NIF, The Right Nation, Samantha Burns, Stop the ACLU, The World According to Carl.

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
