DC's fallout with bookstores

It looks like DC, whether deservedly or not, has caused itself some unnecessary problems with booksellers over their exclusive deal with Kindle Fire and Amazon for digital samples. First, Barnes & Noble pulled 100 of their books from the shelves (via Publishers Weekly). Now, Books-A-Million is following B&N and doing the same.

Whether they deserve this or not, DC seem to have caused themselves quite a bit of trouble here.

Way to shoot yourself in the foot.

By the way I own an older version of the nook and it's developing cracks so I hope to get a new one for X-mas.
But still it great deal better than the kindle since it allows you to download from other places which gives you access to more obsure titles and authors whereas the kindle is exclusive to amazon. Plus you can download from the local library as well as libraries from all over the world.
and I love how some of the snots are looking down at BN for this.

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
