Several tweets by Nick Spencer

Since he's entered comics, he's taken a politicized direction in his Twitter commentary as much as in his own writing on Captain America. So, here's a number of posts he's written that illustrate his liberal-influenced mindset:

But it has bankrupted them, and it sure does cost plenty of money now. Practically everybody has to pay a tax with this embarrassment.

Then tell the Democrats to do what they can to keep the costs low and not force everyone to subscribe to such a disaster if they don't want to.

He then attacks Marco Rubio:

For Spencer, it's a profile in pathetic personality.

So Carter isn't the worst, after all the damage he caused during his term of office?

Spencer also said about Carson, in response to a Huffington Post article:

Those accusations, as it turns out, were false, or at least exaggerated, and the guy who wrote the hit pieces, as it turns out, can be pretty hyperbolic. Furthermore, if Carson's willing to be honest about anything, shouldn't that at least be appreciated?

Ah, so he's an atheist too, huh? Coming from such a shame of a man, that's why this too can weigh against him, even though it's probably the least of the problems one could find about him.

And so, there's a couple examples demonstrating why Spencer is one of the worst writers Marvel/DC/whomever has hired of recent in the comics medium.

His run on The Superior Foes of Spider-Man was great, but his Captain America is so full of slanted politics that it ruins it for me. It seemed Spencer tried to play it neutral at first then went oh screw it let's go full liberal and shove it in peoples faces.

What is more ridiculous: That Ben Carson believes cool, dry megastructures in the middle of barren deserts may have been an ideal place to store life-sustaining grain, or that Nick Spencer is the type of guy who, based on his inane political ranting, likely supports late-term abortions?

For the record, I think Dr. Carson is wrong on that one. I also think, however, that Nick Spencer is showing himself to be a very petty man.

Yes, Mr. Spencer, I think the God who created space and time can, when it serves His purposes, alter the laws of physics that He created.

Where do they find these people? It seems like more and more people want to embrace the most extreme and negative aspects of conservatism and liberalism they can find without the effort to be more level-headed.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
