What did Frank Miller truly define?

Popverse wrote a gushing brief about Frank Miller's new biography, Push the Wall, and tells everybody what to think and believe in regards to his career:
Push The Wall: My Life, Writing, Drawing, and the Art of Storytelling is the upcoming memoir from Frank Miller that also promises to reveal his advice on how to both write and draw. From his groundbreaking work on Daredevil to his iconic take on an older and more determined Batman in The Dark Knight Returns, through to his standalone works like 300 and Sin City, Frank Miller has one of the most impressive catalogues of comic books in history. That is probably why fans and budding artists and writers are eager to find out more about his process and storytelling philosophy.
Well I'm sorry, but while I may find his run on DD impressive, Miller's still not my favorite artist/writer. That honor could be bestowed upon say, John Buscema, who was a very talented artist in his time, and even Gil Kane. Mike Zeck could also make a better choice.

And if they believe a Miller production like Sin City is the kind of "philosophy" I for one would want to find out more about, forget it. That kind of stuff seems to have been all he really cared about, and over the years, he kept sticking with a dark-laced approach. I could also argue how laughable it was that he'd draw Black Widow with short hair just because, IIRC, he once said that it looked like women in comics didn't do much else other than take a shower. What's annoying about that kind of view is that it declares surrealism illegitimate, even Stan Lee's. Considering even Miller's run on DD had its surreal moments, that's one more reason why it sounds more like he was looking for an excuse that Natasha Romanoff not outshine his own creation, Elektra.

Today, after all these years where Miller seemed to deal with little more than alternate dimension takes on "All-Star" Batman, I just don't know what anybody's point is when they act like he's still a big thing, long after his artwork became exceedingly mediocre, and I wish these pseudo-entertainment would stop making it sound like he actually made a comeback of recent, because when his artwork gets as bad as it has of recent, all they do is make a joke out of the whole situation. Much like Popverse itself happens to be.
