Canada doesn't get any respect either in new Alpha Flight mini

IGN Comics reports that there's a new miniseries debuting for Alpha Flight. Predictably, it won't be marketed on its own terms but as part of a crossover, and the neither the team nor its country will be given much respect either:
In light of Chaos War and in the midst of Fear Itself, Canada turns into a fascist regime and suddenly, the Alpha Flight team find themselves traitors to their country.Wow, just what even the residents of the great white north need, that their country be insulted that badly by Marvel's stooges, with a variation on Civil War set north of the border. I fully expect the story's POV to be as biased as that of Civil War, and the miniseries to be unworthy of anyone's time.

Wow, this Alpha Flight storyline so original! I've never heard of anything like this in comics before!
I'm so dumb I can't even type the word 'is.'
I'm guessing they're just now getting around to addressing the Stephen Harper election.
Three years later.
What a stupid-sounding storyline. They need to put James Hudnall back on the title. :)
Don't worry, I r typo-po-prone.
Yeah, take that, Harper, who is a better leader than what we got now. Yeah!
Hudnall was on Alpha Flight? I didn't know this.
It was a rather wretched run about 2 decades ago.
Bill Mantlo had been fired and left the book an absolute mess. Plus, he was sent in the middle of a storyline with no notes from Mantlo as to how it was supposed to end. He was paired with some poor artists and a first-time editor who wanted the equivalent of a Rob Liefeld comic: all fights, no character.
I didn't care for it (dropped the comic in the middle of his run), but I dunno how much of that was due to him.
