What if new Green Arrow TV series becomes a liberal propaganda vent?

After I heard of the plans for a new Green Arrow TV series, I was wondering if there was any chance the series planned for the CW network could end up spouting the kind of ultra-leftist propaganda that Smallville ended up doing in the latter half of its run. Now, the TV Addict website's offered a clue that any worries may not be far off, and in this case, it looks like Black Canary might end up being the tool exploited here (via Superhero Hype):
If this series ends up becoming as politicized as Smallville did, then it certainly won't be guaranteed a very long life on television.

Of course I figured they'd go for propaganda given that Green Arrow is a hardcore liberal and has been since O'Neill and Adams revamped him in the late 1960s. But I wasn't expecting them to exploit Black Canary for those nefarious purposes, since her political leanings (to my knowledge at least) have never been revealed. Also, as usual, they always have to change things about a character's background, something that also infuriates me.

I can see this coming. At first, Canary goes after GA, thinking he's one of the '1%' because he's rich, but then she finds out he's one of the 'good' rich people and they discover her sister was actually murdered by a conservative (either a businessman, politician or clergyman) who was hanging out on the yacht that day. Etc. etc.
If Roy Harper turns up in the TV series as Oliver Queen's ward, they might even depict Ollie giving him a liberal "education" too.
When are these people ever going to learn...
