Despite claims of a 27% increase, sales are still nothing to write home about
ICV2 claimed a couple days ago that sales last month rose by 27 percent, and sounded the hype trumpet as though suddenly, sales of comics were something to crow over again. Except that the sales charts they've now posted don't reflect that, and are as stagnant as ever. Only 3 titles are selling above 100,000 and they actually admitted it.
Once again, they're only making a joke out of themselves in a desperate attempt to pretend that everything's really rosy and nothing to worry about, which isn't very helpful when people look under a microscope and find the real picture.
