Is Ben Affleck really qualified to direct a Justice League movie?

Variety's reported that WB's turned to actor Ben Affleck, who played Daredevil in 2003, to direct their proposed Justice League movie. But while he may have had some success directing and acting in The Town, that's no guarantee he'll be the perfect choice for director of this movie, recalling that he couldn't make his take on Daredevil a blockbuster when he played the role almost a decade ago.
So this only has the effect of sounding like one more committee-style arrangement rather than something a tested scriptwriter could be given the reins to handle and make choices of who else is fit to assist him in developing the movie behind the camera. And that pretty much sums up how WB sees fit to run everything these days.

I do not like Affleck at all. His Daredevil movie was lackluster and he's another liberal celebrity who feels the need to preach to us, in real life and in the movies. I think he and his buddy Matt Damon had a shout-out to radical socialist Noam Chomsky in "Good Will Hunting..." or it might've been Howard Zinn, I'm not sure.
