Ron Marz sounds more concerned about legal gun sales than successful self-defense

Marz's political side continues to get the better of him:

I think it's a shame Marz is more interested in this than in the honest people who've successfully defended themselves against criminals. For example, a mother in Georgia who defended her 2 children and herself from an interloper who broke into their house. And, an Oklahoma woman menaced by robbers who managed to scare them off (Hat tip: Big Government). What if they didn't have their firearms and the criminals got the upper hand as a result? And has Marz considered that the whole issue of gun control is only proving to be a loser for liberals?

It's incredible that the same writer who penned the Silver Surfer, Green Lantern and Witchblade, all featuring heroes with their own forms of firepower, and all for at least 6 years each, is taking an entirely different stance here. Does he regret writing those books now?

He'd do well to just let go of the whole issue and just focus on writing comics.

I'd say it's Marz himself who is sad and pathetic, given how far off the rails he's gone in recent years. I've never understood the pro-gun control lobby's mentality that instead of being able to defend yourself, you're supposed to just sit back and let yourself die. People like that disgust me.

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
