DC working on a "dark universe" movie

With the director Guillermo del Toro, Time Warner might be developing a DC comics movie that's been titled "dark universe" for now. It's uncertain if it's a go, but definitely a shame that this is the only direction they're seriously interested in promoting. Come to think of it, dark is probably the direction a Justice League movie would unfortunately go in if they do make that. I've always thought it a shame how darkness has ended up becoming the emphasis of too many of their projects, and they're not helping by promoting their projects that way.

Personally I'm sick of the dark stuff too. I like Hellboy, because at least that had a sense of humor, but there's over-proliferation of darkness in the media today.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
