Is Ed Brubaker justifying Dan Slott's actions with Spidey?
@DanSlott Spider-Man fans are easier to troll than Cap fans.

If I'm reading this right, it sounds like Brubaker could be justifying Slott's efforts to irritate Spider-fans. Has he no shame?
Earlier, he also wrote:
People acting like I'm some huge asshole because I don't want to do superhero comics anymore is always a bit jarring.

Personally, I'm glad he isn't writing them anymore, and not just because his personal politics are suspect. It's also because he was pretty knee-jerk as a writer. When he was writing Batman in 2002, he went along with the Bruce Wayne: Murderer/Fugitive crossover, and let's not forget his attack on the Tea Party in 2010 in Captain America. I'm honestly not sorry he's left the fold for superheroes.
