The Motley Fool believes Batman vs. Superman will be a failure

The Motley Fool gave 3 reasons why they think Zack Snyder and David Goyer's planned clash between the Masked Manhunter and the Man of Steel in a movie to be subtitled "Dawn of Justice" will wind up an epic failure. One is the presence of too many heroes, in a hasty step to build towards a Justice League movie. Another is the likelihood that the rest of the heroes appearing won't have back stories developed yet. And still another is the questionable creative process in developing the movie.
Incidentally, their description of David Goyer is confused:
As I may have said before, and will say again, I believe the movie could flop based on its insular premise meant to appeal to would-be readers who think clashes between superheroes all for the sake of it make for a great time. Moviegoers usually hope a comics film features a clash between good-vs-evil, and don't go to see one where the heroes battling each other is marketed as the main course. So far, that's pretty much how the film's been promoted, and it doesn't guarantee success.

Goyer, a comic book writer, can be exceptional when paired with the right director (Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy) but abysmal when paired with the wrong one (Neveldine/Taylor's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance). [...]Goyer is not a comics writer per se. He did write a few comics like Justice Society a decade ago, but began his career as a screenwriter sometime in the early to mid-90s. And as evidenced by his vulgar, sleazy podcast chat about She-Hulk and Martian Manhunter, he's not as qualified as some might've thought to take up these screenwriting assignments. Even moviegoers should give pause before deciding whether he's really a qualified scribe based on his alarming crudeness discussing past creations whose writers went to such pains to create.

I think its too early to tell whether Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice will under-perform or not. Either way two years is a long time in Hollywood and many things can affect a film's performance but here's hoping the film is less messy than Man of Steel and tells a more compelling story.
