Dan Jurgens gives a good word for police

Jurgens has come to the defense of better police employees at the time of the Ferguson riots:

While I think Jurgens has made some mistakes in his career as a writer, the upside is that he's a lot more courteous and polite in his arguments than some of his more left-wing counterparts in comicdom. And he's right - we can't overlook the police officials who do their job altruistically.

Take that, Marz, Slott, Hester, Hamner, and other leftist writers in the field. Jurgens is getting his points across considerably better than you are.

... and Waid, too, whose Twitter feed has been ridiculous w/respect to police.

Waid propping up the police does surprise me, Hube. Pleasantly so, though. Glad in this one instance, he didn't toe the leftist line. As for Jurgens, I usually find his writing bland, but outside of comics, I do applaud some statements I've read from him. If I'm not mistaken, didn't he and Marz have a small back and forth on Twitter, where Jurgens warned of the unintended consequences of passing Obamacare?

No, anon ... Waid hasn't been propping up the police. My bad -- I meant my comment as a continuation of Slott, Marz, et. al.

Oh. Damn, I should've known better, Hube. Waid giving respect to police did sound like a bit of a stretch. My bad.

Jurgens has been rumored to be of a non-left bent in his politics. Which could be one big reason why DC doesn't want to give him much work with much visibility these days...
