Tom Fowler comment on Charlie Hebdo massacre
I didn't like charlie hebdo before the shootings. They deserved to be taken to task. But I like cartoonists being murdered less.

I'd say he's putting it across better than Erik Larsen did. This is the only comment I could find that he posted about the case, and he's absolutely right that murder is far worse than satirical cartoons.
Labels: Europe and Asia, islam and jihad, terrorism, violence
Fowler, like a lot of cartoonists and celebrities, has expressed (mild) disapproval of the murders. But they all stop short of criticizing Islam.
And Charlie Hebdo was "taken to task" in the past, when they published cartoons that were offensive to Christians, Jews, and/or Muslims. But the Christians and Jews used civilized, legal methods (lawsuits, boycotts), while the Muslims responded with violence.
