Gerry Conway attacks the Patriot Act
On this only I stand with Rand: Rand Paul: 'I will force the expiration' of the PATRIOT Act http://t.co/6U5OK7MUcO

Seeing this, I'm very disappointed with Paul. I've never thought he was as bad as that awful father of his, described by some as the "crazy uncle in the attic" of the GOP, but he too, as I've come to realize, has some standpoints that are downright terrible, and which Conway, in all his leftism, might find appealing too.
Now, here's more:
One change I’d like to see for a new “Patriot Act” is a truthful name: “National Spying Over-Reaction Fear-Mongering Anti-Privacy Act” works

The government has had 14 years to fix the deeply flawed “Patriot Act” and now the sky’s falling down; tiny tears. http://t.co/We8cprC41n

Someday we'll look back at this era with the same shame we feel looking back at slavery. http://t.co/1jHmDuGl7t

So says a writer whom I've never seen condemning Islamic slavemongering in countries like Sudan. Or Islamic thugs running underaged prostitution rings in Britain. Or even those who've committed the same crimes right in the USA. All Conway cares about is laws meant to help protect the country from violent terrorists, claiming they're worse than the monsters the laws were meant to help combat. He is a very, very sad case.
Labels: Europe and Asia, islam and jihad, misogyny and racism, moonbat writers, politics, terrorism, violence
It got renew! It got renewed! Calm down! The danger's over.
...say have you read the who thing in its entirety?

That last Tweet of Conway, "Someday we'll look back at this era with the same shame we feel looking back at slavery." That's just breathtaking, and then I go, "this is the same guy who wrote for Wonder Woman, right?"
There are some aspects with the Patriot Act I'm no longer crazy about, but I understand why the need to keep it around.
Unrelated, but does anyone know Carl is up to, these days? He since deleted his blog, but I miss him.

Carl who?

Hi, Killer Moth. I'm still around, but I've taken a step back from blogging and commenting for a couple reasons, mainly to write my book whenever I have free time. I also had some anxiety-related health issues earlier this year, but that's under control now.

Thanks for coming by Carl, and I hope you're doing well.

Thank you, Avi. I hope everything is going well for you, too.

If you're writing a book, I can see why you'd scale back on things. I just finally got my nets fixed after a year, so I was just wondering how things were with you. Good luck with the book.

Thank you, Killer Moth. I hope to finally finish it in the next year or so.

It'll be a superhero/contemporary fantasy-type book.
