Waid posts an apologia quote by Gillen
"Regarding fans, I would encourage them to be a little more relaxed about books that aren't for them." Year's best quote, from @kierongillen.

Well that's okay, Waid and Gillen, because I haven't read Marvel and DC books for a decade now, since the people now overlording the properties made it clear they didn't want people like myself anymore, and despite any claims to the contrary, don't want new readers to try their products either, seeing how disastrous their marketing efforts have proven. Another tweeter told him they should make clear who the audience is they're looking for, and even then, they'd need to do far better in terms of promotion.
This tweet is no surprise coming from Gillen, who retconned Iron Man's background and is one of the favored bunch now at Marvel, and from somebody who threw away his talent long ago like Waid. IMO, they have no business acting as yes-men and then lecturing everyone who disagrees with them. Those of us who understand what's wrong with modern Marvel/DC should let them know by avoiding all purchases of their current output, and just buy the older archives of better stories from the Golden/Silver/Bronze Ages instead.
Labels: marvel comics, moonbat writers
Depending on who you are, the tweet is from a day to 35 years too late.

Shorter version: Don't like, don't read.
I could live with that, as long as there's honesty about it.

Marz "If somebody's not reading the books, I have zero interest in their opinions."
Yet he clearly does have interest since he reads and complains about your every post.
