2 more liberal "defenses" of new take on Capt. America

Here's a few more tiresome apologetics by liberals who've lost their way. For example, Dan Slott:

Sure, but until now, the Serpents weren't explicitly depicted as a hardcore right-wing gang with such obvious applications. As noted before, the Serpents were a commie front. And the outrage - which I'm sure Marvel was actually hoping for - has little to do with Sam at this point, and more to do with the ultra-leftist politics shoved into the book.

Next is Gail Simone:

What she's saying is nothing more than a tedious defense that leaves out any specification how modern superhero comics are being exploited for anti-conservative leanings. Nor does she consider that decades before, writers didn't go out of their way to alienate at least half the potential audience.

And I don't think they have any respect for past talents like Kirby and Simon at all, let alone the creations modern PC advocates have been hijacking. Otherwise, they'd admit politics can go too far.

The "new take on Captain America is just a publicity stunt disguised as an attempt to promote diversity. The same with the female Thor, gay Iceman, Muslim Ms. Marvel, whatever.

And it allows Marvel to play the race card, dismissing any criticism as "racism."

No rational debate or discussion of any issue is allowed these days. Whether it's questioning whether we should help Iran acquire nuclear weapons, or whether we should give free college tuition to illegal immigrants (while legal immigrants are spending time and money to go through the process of becoming citizens), or even preferring one version of a comic book character to another, any dissent from the PC party line is denounced as racist, sexist, homophobic, and Islamophobic.

I wonder how these same radical far left liberals, who ironically hate the idea of America and the constitution, would feel about Steve Rogers Captain America pushing traditional and conservative values? I'm sure they'd be the first in line complaining.

Boycott Marvel. The floodgates are open - they don't even attempt to downplay their radical liberal philosophy any longer.
