3 recent tweets by J. Michael Straczynski

These tweets are from a couple weeks ago, but JMS has recently shown he hasn't changed much as a liberal. For example, he said:

Oh, isn't that nice, calling anybody who complains about that mayor's potential atheism, or just plain lack of respect for long honored customs is to be condemned as "Taliban", but the real danger themselves are never to be condemned by ultra-liberals and anti-war advocates like JMS.

And then, there's this picture post he linked to:

That issue was an obvious attempt to cash in on the tragedy, and it looks like JMS still upholds it's incredibly poor, aggravating mix of fictional superhero world with real life subject. I still shake my head over that part where some pedestrians run by Spidey asking where all the superheroes were, and via caption narrative, he says, "How do you say we didn't know? We couldn't know. We couldn't imagine." All this in a fictional world operating by the laws of science-fantasy. More insulting, however, is the part where Doctor Doom visits the scene of Ground Zero without opposition and cries. The panel talking about "Madness in mosques, shouting down fourteen centuries of earnest prayers, forgetting the lessons of crusades past" is also badly informed, as is the one talking about "That our eagerness to shout is not the equal of our willingness to listen. That the burdens of distant people are the responsibility of all men and women of conscience, or their burdens will one day become our tragedy." Which is little more than a subtle way of saying the victims are to blame, or absolving the culprits of any true responsibility. JMS is one of the biggest apologists around. His rhetoric only insulted the victims of the tragedy, and he's still not sorry he wrote that mess.

And then, there's this post he tweeted about Edward Snowden:

Sigh. He's basically backing Snowden despite how he sold and exposed vital security data, which makes him a traitor. JMS has no idea how badly he's letting his ultra-leftist leanings run away with him.

From the mind that brought you masterpieces such as "Grounded", which led to him getting pimp-slapped by a crackpot like Waid for quitting the storyline halfway through. You cannot sink lower than being humiliated by Mark Waid. In a credible fashion, no less.
