SJWs hated Netflix Cage series because it's got conservative/respectability politics
An article in The Ringer, “Luke Cage, Black Conservative,” criticized Cage’s politics, his patriotism and his aversion to use or be called the n-word by other black people. The actor who plays Cage, Mike Colter, has said in interviews he doesn’t like the n-word and lobbied the show-runner to keep the word out of Cage’s vocabulary.Do they believe blacks should self-degrade? Is that what they're insinuating? If they are, that's abominable, and it shouldn't be hard to figure out they're telling about themselves from there. And they're not the only press site that's sinking low:
Vulture also stated that the show “veers a bit into respectability politics” and should maybe “explore” the topic of “toxic masculinity” a bit more. The outlet said Luke donning a hoodie evokes Trayvon Martin except “this time, the black man is bulletproof.”Even this is stupefying and insulting to the intellect. It also tells what The Ringer site must think about black men. I hesitate to think what their view of black women must be. What a degrading news site they surely are.
While the new series' direction may have an impressive political angle on the surface, the feeling is nullified when you think about how the modern comics, by sharp contrast, are a polar opposite with their more leftist politics. And I honestly don't find the bald-headed look now given to Cage appealing.
