What the Steve Rogers corruption book has to tell now is just boring

But after reading this preview of the 7th issue, it sure sounds like they're reverting back to the idea that Steve was never brainwashed:
Couched in a story about S.H.I.E.L.D., the Red Skull, and a grassroots rebellion vying for control over the government of Sokovia, a glimpse back into Steve’s history in the Hydra youth program reveals that though he was being groomed to take leadership in Hydra from a young age, being a pint-sized fascist didn’t save him any grief from bullies.
The worst being the current staff at Marvel, of course. What's really distasteful here is how Newsarama's writers clearly have no issues with Spencer and company insulting the intellect of the fans.

And then, they "reveal" the most uninteresting "buddy" Steve's "had" since he was a kid in the Hydra program:
As we cut back to the present day, Steve speaks to Dr. Selvig about his plan to take down the Red Skull, revealing the secret that’s been hiding behind the locked door in Selvig’s lab, while simultaneously revealing the identity of the boy who helped him years ago, a boy he would “Trust with his life…”

None other than Helmut Zemo, Red Skull’s rival for control of Hydra, missing since Steve seemingly defeated him in Captain America: Steve Rogers #1.
As I said, this is just not interesting. If anything, it's certainly offensive and insulting.

And that's not the only horrible story Marvel's pushing on everybody. Guess what turns up in the 15th Sam Wilson issue?
And who is there to give D-Man encouragement before the match? His boyfriend, teasing him about those delicious Hostess Fruit Pies
And the panel they posted from the issue is just as groan-inducingly creepy as anything they've done of recent with Iceman over in X-Men. One can only wonder how many more characters Alonso's staff are going to turn gay out of nowhere, presumably under the confidence they can get away with it simply because characters like D-Man are minor players? The time couldn't be better to boycott Marvel, not because we want to, but because we have to.

"And who is there to give D-Man encouragement before the match? His boyfriend, teasing him about those delicious Hostess Fruit Pies."

Feels like a punchline for a bad South Park joke. Either that, or it always leads back to Cartman's "gay cowboys eating pudding" one-liner.

And Steve and Helmut being kid BFFs? Yeah, sure, why not, Spencer?

...I don't think you get how a Cosmic Cube works when its activated.
