Charles Soule supports Brad Meltzer
A fantastic new novel from @bradmeltzer hits today: THE ESCAPE ARTIST. Has my highest recommendation - twist-filled history-military thriller that even sneaks in some cool Houdini stuff. Brad's always excellent, and this one's REALLY excellent. Get it! pic.twitter.com/UxyUIT9Crt— Charles Soule (@CharlesSoule) March 6, 2018
So did you think it was excellent when, in the 3rd issue of IC, Deathstroke punched Zatanna in the stomach hard enough to make her vomit, in one of several shock tactic moments the miniseries was notorious for, Soule? I shouldn't have to point out the Meltzer-penned trash ages even less well in the post-Harvey Weinstein era. Not to mention how any "twists" and "mystery" elements it's got don't hold up well in multiple readings.
All these comics writers/artists who're going about voicing favorable views of Meltzer sure aren't doing the medium any good. Soule's only making things worse.
