Something Richard Pace can be credited for

The artist/writer Richard Pace, who's worked at DC's Vertigo line, may be a leftist, but if there's something he did right, it would have to be the following:

Well I'm glad to see that, besides recognizing that body-shaming women is certainly degrading, he also understands that so too are Islamic burkas, and worse, niqabs. While it's always understandable why nobody should go around literally in the nude, that doesn't mean we should sexualize the entire body either, and if that's how the school was going to treat the girl in the article, they did a very terrible disfavor to her.

So there's one good thing Pace is doing as a comics creator, whatever his politics.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
