Sienkiewicz is beginning to sound more sensible. Or is he?
Looks like the protests to Bill Sienkiewicz over his anti-Comicsgate attitudes had some effect, but not enough. He was certainly willing to talk with Ethan Van Sciver:
Too bad he's not willing to try audio interview conversations. But I suppose this, and the prior example, are signs of improvement on Sienkiewicz's part, albeit only slightly. It remains to be seen how long even that'll last, obviously.
I still think he's missing an opportunity if he won't do podcasts with conservative-leaning figures.
And now, here's another post he wrote on Facebook for the last day of August, where he perpetuates the lies, and sees only what he wants to:
Of course you're not the "leader" Bill. But you most certainly are an apologist for tasteless, classless people, and to say comics "chose" you is no improvement. Worst, Sienkiewicz, not unlike several other followers of the Orwellian "ignorance is strength" approach, failed so far to consider the following:

There's been plenty of cases like these lately that have nothing to do with artistic merit of the finished product, and more to do with whether the writer is a right-winger. And Sienkiewicz all but ignores them all, alas. Which could probably explain why he hasn't been a big thing for nearly 2 decades now, and must be bitter if he's no longer considered a "legend" despite a recent attempt by the Mary Sue site to claim he is. I'm sorry, but if Sienkiewicz keeps opening his big mouth, he cannot attain that status successfully. He'd do far better to just let the subject go and return to his art assignments, which is exactly what he would've concentrated upon if he's serious about the career he's led.
So in the end, the best verdict to deliver would be that, unfortunately, Bill hasn't improved, and is not helping the industry's reputation one bit.

#Comicsgate's 'mission statement' is suspect as f.Man, what was I saying before? This guy hasn't changed a bit, no matter how respectable his exchange with Van Sciver was. He doesn't even think he's capable of virtue-signaling with this very balderdash he wrote on Facebook. If he really believed what he said about not falling for fish with a stench, he'd never have turned a blind eye to the damage first wrought by Bill Jemas and Joe Quesada in the early 2000s. And when van Sciver starts listing complaints, Sienkiewicz said:
It's a Trojan Horse, a cover, a sham.
They're NOT about "rescuing Comics". They're about weaponizing them.
Their "goal" is a front to push their real agenda:to gate-keep & validate their fear, hatred, xenophobia, misogyny & racism.
To be extra clear: here's an olive branch: this applies to SOME members, not all.
I suspect that some creators on the #Comicsgate side may have actually believed in the bill of goods they were sold, by one (or two) biased and self-serving parties who is just using them. They're good-intentioned, well-meaning, creative folks who are being fed erroneous and hateful propaganda. And as Richard Pace so eloquently stated: being Virtue Signaled.
Remember, the fish rots from the head. This whole sad state of affairs reminds me of a Rev. Jim Jones cult scenario, only instead of Kool-Aid, it's with India Ink and Wacoms and laptops.
To further the analogy (one I'm sure is going to drive some of these CG folks bananas) --instead of the instantaneously painful death by drinking actual poison- (which is horrible and fucked up and in no way what I am suggesting is any kind of solution), HERE the true believers and misled acolytes are carrying out slow-motion career-- and moral-- suicide ;
all while Fishhead makes grand IGG bucks, promotes the mission statement cover story, keeps on spreading the gospel of divisiveness. And rots.
Some of these folks are going to realize they've been bamboozled by a snake oil, fish oil salesman... and they are not going to be happy.

One thing that's become apparent from Breitbart's Big Hollywood site, "has been" celebrities often jump onto left wing political issues to generate publicity and remind their fans, such as they are, that they are still out there. They're also attempting to cultivate favor with the industry people with the power, money and jobs, who are more likely SJWs than not these days.
