One interesting thing about the new Titans TV show: Donna Troy's been cast
New images from DC Universe's live-action Titans series introduce Conor Leslie as Donna Troy, AKA Wonder Girl. For the first live-action TV show to stream on DC's digital service, they decided to put the spotlight on a group of younger heroes known as the Titans. The show's main character is Dick Grayson, AKA Robin (Brenton Thwaites), but he's far from the only DC hero who's made an appearance. [...]I'll admit, it's flattering that after so many years where Donna never seemed to be featured in any cartoons based on the Teen Titans, she's now getting cast as a character in something. But beyond that, I honestly don't know if this'll be any better than the Arrow/Flash/Supergirl TV shows that have been consumed by too much leftist propaganda.
Another DC character set to join Titans for next week's episode will be Donna Troy, AKA Wonder Girl. She'll be played by Conor Leslie (The Man In The High Castle) and DC (via CBR) has finally revealed an official look at her. The photos are from episode eight of season 1, which is properly titled "Donna Troy" to signify her debut and importance to the episode. As for the photos, Leslie is just shown in some causal attire for Donna, so she's far from her superhero look from the comics.
Historically speaking, this is a significant accomplishment for Wonder Girl/Donna Troy as a character in adaptations of DC material. But again, other than that, it wouldn't surprise me if it still wasn't worth looking forward to, unless the producers are willing to avoid overtly partisan politics, in contrast to the other live action adaptations, which have become flooded with them. That's the only way they'll really succeed in winning good TV ratings, and ditto if more seasons are ordered. Though based on this kind of argument, that's why we can't be too surprised if there won't be. Besides, any show with Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman and Greg Berlanti credited doesn't make me feel encouraged at all.

Wonder Girl was a part of the Wonder Woman tv show with Lynda Carter, so she has had a live action presence on screen, even if she didn't use the name Donna in the show.
