Marvel studios seeks an openly homosexual actor to play a role in an Eternals film

In the months since Stan Lee sadly passed on, it would seem as though Marvel studios head Kevin Feige has become emboldened to go the full-fledged social justice route, and according to That Hashtag Show (via Bounding Into Comics), they're advertising for an actor who's openly homosexual to star in an adaptation of the Eternals, created by Jack Kirby in the mid-70s:
During the press coverage of Ant-Man and The Wasp last year, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige stated that the studio was working towards bringing a new, LGBTQ character to the mix in the near future. As it turns out, that future is nearly upon us as the studio searches for an actor, 30-49, who “physically looks like a superhero” for one of the film’s leads. While the studio is open to actors of all ethnicity, they would prefer the role to go to an openly gay actor.
Naturally, as realists have to wonder, why does sexual orientation/preference matter, rather than genuine talent? This is precisely what's leaving the entertainment industry in ruins, as social justice mentality starts to take over, and risks leaving a lot of performers with real talent out of jobs. Also, ethnicity, I think, alludes to race and nationality, not sexual orientation.

It's clear again that, with Stan Lee gone, they're more eager than ever to virtue-signal. But this is only how to go broke from getting "woke". The film franchise won't remain eternal this way.

Maybe they don't want a method actor for gayness?

Interesting how the people who get upset when a historically or nominally white character gets played by an actor of a different race, stay silent when an Asian character is played by an anglo woman (a la Dr Strange) and then get upset at the idea that a gay character should be played by a gay guy. There is a bit of inconsistency there.

I don't care about the actor or actress's sexual orientation. If he or she looks like and can properly perform as the character in the comic (provided the writers and director gives that perform a script that properly adapts the character), I'm fine. I still have yet to see a live-action Jimmy Olsen with red hair and freckles.

There was significant pushback against Tilda Swinton's casting as the Ancient One in Doctor Strange, and, for that matter, against Scarlett Johansson's casting in Ghost in the Shell. The criticisms may have come from a different corner of fandom, but they were there.
