Jonathan Hickman's X-Men looks like it's catering to low denominators
The new issue of X-Men strongly suggests a sexual relationship between two of the team's most prominent mutants, Cyclops and Wolverine. In previous issues of the series, writers strongly implied a polyamorous relationship between Jean Grey, her husband Scott Summers AKA Cyclops, and "Logan" Howlett, better known as Wolverine, his longtime rival for Jean's affections. The exact nature of their partnership has been one of the biggest mysteries looming over the recently-relaunched team, but this week's X-Men #7 makes a strong case that Scott and Logan are directly sexually involved. No kidding. So far, they don't seem to have actually confirmed a same-sex relationship, which would amount to "slash fiction", presumably because they're trying to back away from all the embarrassment that resulted from Axel Alonso and Brian Bendis's contrived transformation of Iceman in the past 5 years (though their continued PC pandering obviously would suggest otherwise), but even merely suggesting it can be pretty tasteless.
Of course, depending on one's viewpoint, SR could very well be sensationalizing everything in their hopes to promote the social justice concepts they hold dear. Still, this whole premise of bottling all possible mutants up on a fictional island is pretty cheap and only perpetuates this whole weird premise that mutants in such sci-fi settings should distance themselves from the rest of society, which isn't very creative at all. And again, let's not forget what they did with Moira MacTaggart.

You might be surprised to learn that threesomes actually have nothing to do with social justice. Social justice is about, you know, helping the poor and making sure no one starves and giving them access to good medical care and jobs and a decent education. Basically, fairness.

Guaranteeing that everyone eats good, has access to the best medical care thee is, high-paying jobs, and free college is a very expensive . Point me the any countries that actually provide this to hundreds of millions of people and I will take back my comment about you advocating for something that has never ever been achieved on Earth.
Threesomes have a lot do with socialism, which you refer to as "social justice".
Even liberalpedia admits there is a correlation:
"Sharing the free-love ideals of the earlier social movements—as well as their feminism, pacifism, and simple communal life—were the utopian socialist communities of early-nineteenth-century France and Britain, associated with writers and thinkers such as Henri de Saint-Simon and Charles Fourier in France, and Robert Owen in England. Fourier, who coined the term feminism, argued that true freedom could only occur without masters, without the ethos of work, and without suppressing passions: the suppression of passions is not only destructive to the individual, but to society as a whole. He argued that all sexual expressions should be enjoyed as long as people are not abused, and that "affirming one's difference" can actually enhance social integration. "

Most Western countries have Medicare; the US is an outlier and seems downright uncivilized because of it to outsiders. The US does have state funded colleges, like CUNY and the U of California. It benefits the economy overall, by creating a better educated work force; Ireland benefited from state-funded education during its boom periods.
The point is guaranteed access, not guaranteed results. No guaranteed jobs, but the right to apply for them and have a fair shot at being hired.
The US gives people lots of free shit - you don't pay to travel on most government made roads, you don't pay the police department or fire department when they come to help out, you don't pay for high school. That is what government is for, to provide service. The only question is where you draw the line, and which groups of people benefit from government money.

Utopian socialism is from state socialism which is different from the utopian socialist communities of the 19th century. They had very different ideas about sexuality, even within these categories. The Shakers believed in celibacy, for example.
Threesomes aren't a right or left kind of thing; republicans are into them too.
