Some recent political tweets by Kurt Busiek
Items like this are why Busiek's past work from the 80s and 90s is art that has to be parted from the artist himself. A terrible shame. He doesn't consider how it mainly harms women, is one of the worst ways for people to spite their bodies and faces, and worst, it's all totally ruined discourse. Let's not forget Busiek was part of the chorus who shamefully condemned J.K. Rowling instead of standing up for her.Yes, they sure are.

Perspective | The GOP’s anti-trans bills are ignorance in action https://t.co/zxAYLb3N4p
Here's something else rather fishy:
Just because we've got our vaccine doesn't mean we can go on and dance, and make some romance, even if the night is fallin’ and the music's callin' and we've got to get down to Swingtown.
— Kurt Busiek (@KurtBusiek) April 11, 2021
Does this mean he still favors Corona lockdowns, and doesn't want life to resume more normally again? I guess that means he doesn't care an iota about what Canadians think, after all the trouble the country's authorities have caused for the public, particularly in Quebec. And wouldn't you know it, looks like he's even chummy with ultra-leftist author Chabon, the man who sought to alienate Star Trek audiences while serving as a producer on ST: Picard.Tempting, I know.

But even so.
Here, he doesn't seem to realize that in a way, he's talking about the left demanding compromises from the right to suit the former's beliefs. Or, he fails to understand why you shouldn't compromise women's rights and safety for the sake of aforementioned transgender ideology, because he can't bring himself to quit being such an ideologue.Whenever someone wants to “compromise” on human rights, it’s always someone else’s rights they want to be compromised.

Busiek also commented on the newest terrible incident in Minnesota, where BLM/Antifa riots broke out anew following another unfortunate death of a motorist:
An air freshener. https://t.co/N7ZL0p2h57
— Kurt Busiek (@KurtBusiek) April 12, 2021
Shooting someone over not-yet-paid fines and an air freshener isn’t just excessive force, it’s bizarrely excessive. Even if (if) they were trying to flee, that doesn’t merit gunfire. If they’re not endangering anyone’s life, there’s no excuse for putting holes in them.
— Kurt Busiek (@KurtBusiek) April 12, 2021
And shooting and killing someone by “accident,” even if that’s what you did, is still a crime.
— Kurt Busiek (@KurtBusiek) April 12, 2021
As expected, no comment on the excessive force used by rioters who damaged/destroyed property and looted, to say nothing of endangering lives. It's basically the Orwellian "ignorance is strength" tactic in motion. I don't think I've seen people like Busiek comment on the ongoing Antifa violence in Oregon either. Such mentality is what's led to the terrible situation in France, where you have Islamic sharia destroying many communities. What's interesting about the latest Minneapolis case is that it was a policewoman, rather than a policeman, who stands accused, suggesting Busiek's really being an opportunist this time, based on his past track record with women. And of course, he ignores much of the facts in this case, deliberately or otherwise, such as:And it’s very, very hard to believe that a police officer can’t tell the difference between a gun and a taser, even just considering how different the weight of them is.
— Kurt Busiek (@KurtBusiek) April 12, 2021
But even if we pretend that happened, a cop who can’t tell the difference shouldn’t be trusted with either.
The Brooklyn Center Police Department released body camera footage on Monday from a shooting that happened on Sunday when Daunte Wright, 20, tried to run from law enforcement. Police said Monday that they believe the officer thought she was firing her taser when she shot the suspect. But in the view of far-left ideologues like Busiek's become, nobody's allowed to make mistakes. So no chance he's sorry to see the policewoman charged, when here, the crook himself could've cooperated with authorities. On which note, Wright had an arrest warrant, as reported by the UK Mail (via Breitbart), and he'd committed armed robbery:
The police department said in a press release that officers determined that the suspect had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Reporter Andy Ngo highlighted the alleged charges that Wright was wanted on, including running from law enforcement and a weapons charge.
“At one point as officers were attempting to take the driver into custody, the driver re-entered the vehicle. One officer discharged their firearm, striking the driver,” police said. “The vehicle traveled several blocks before striking another vehicle. Officers in pursuit and responding medical personnel attempted life saving measures, but the person died at the scene.”
The footage of the incident appeared to show the female officer yelling, “taser!” before discharging her firearm. Officials have not released the identity of the police officer, who has been placed on administrative leave.
“It is my belief that the officer had the intention to deploy their Taser, but instead shot Mr. Wright with a single bullet,” Chief Tim Gannon of the Brooklyn Center Police Department said. “This appears to me, from what I viewed, and the officer’s reaction and distress immediately after, that this was an accidental discharge that resulted in a tragic death of Mr. Wright.”
Daunte Wright choked a woman and threatened to shoot her if she did not hand over $820 she had stuffed in her bra, court papers obtained by DailyMail.com allege. This is what Busiek ignores, most disturbingly. And then has the gall to parrot the claim it was just over an "air freshener". When leftists like him want it to sound petty, they sadly go along and make it like just that. If he's got new comics of Astro City planned, I'd think it best not to buy them the way he's going about things.
[...] Wright was allegedly pulled over for having expired license plate tags, although he called his mother and told her it was for having an air freshener hanging on his rear-view mirror. While checking his details, Potter and other officers learned of the warrant.
When they tried to handcuff him, Wright got back into his car and at that point Potter shot him in the chest after warning fellow officers to get out of the way by shouting, 'Taser, taser, taser.'
Wright was due to face trial on a charge of attempted aggravated robbery - with a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Charging papers say he and a second man, Emajay Driver went to a home shared by two women in Osseo, Minnesota 'to party' in December 2019. At the time, Wright was 19 and Driver was 18.
The women asked them to leave around 2.30 am on December 1, but they said they didn't have a ride and the women - who are not identified in the court documents - allowed them to sleep on the floor.
In the morning, one of the women went to the bank to get her $820 rent money which she gave to the other woman and then left for work. As Wright, Driver and the second woman were leaving, Wright allegedly tried to hold up the woman.
'The three of them were walking to the door to exit the apartment and defendant Wright turned around and blocked the door preventing victim from leaving,' says the report, written by Osseo Police Officer Shane Mikkelson.
'Defendant Wright then pulled a black handgun with silver trim out from either his right waistband or his right coat pocket and pointed it at victim and demanded the rent money,' continued Mikkelson.
'Victim said "Are you serious?" Defendant Wright replied: "Give me the f**king money, I know you have it."
When the woman again asked him if he was serious, Wright is said to have replied: 'I'm not playing around.'
Mikkelson's report said: 'The $820 cash was tucked in the victim's bra and defendant Wright placed his hand around victim's neck and choked her while trying to pull the cash from under her bra.
'Victim was able to get loose from defendant Wright and started to kneel down and scream.'
After more yelling, Wright allegedly told the woman that he was going to shoot her unless he got the money.
'Give me the money and we will leave,' he allegedly said. 'Give me the money and we will go.'
Mikkelson added: 'Defendant Wright then tried to choke victim a second time and tried to take her money. Defendant Driver was telling her to give defendant Wright the money.
'Defendant Driver then said: "Let's go," and the two defendants left and got into a white Cadillac and left the scene,' wrote Mikkelson.
'Afterwards, victim found that the cash was still in her bra.'
Mikkelson said the woman identified both Wright and Driver through photo line-ups.

On the subject of political stuff, while not quite news due to it being over a year old, you might want to discuss how Greg Berlanti and his staff promised more race and gender swaps and voiced support for BLM according to Variety: https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/nkechi-okoro-carroll-greg-berlanti-race-coronavirus-1234648279/
You might also want to address the whole "current day trends" thing they're promoting while treating the 1940s and 1950s like the plague for some reason.

"...you got something against Anon-type comments or something?"
Maybe he'd allow your comments if you weren't such a stuck-up, arrogant, condescending troll. Ever think about that? I doubt you have.
