Canadian writer charged with child assault in Georgia, USA
A popular comic book author from Canada who came to metro Atlanta for a wedding, ended up in handcuffs accused of felony child cruelty after police say he inappropriately touched a child. His lawyer, and the news station, appear to be trying to downplay this all as a mere accident, because:
Body Ngoy, 52, went before a judge Monday over something his attorney called one big mistake. [...]
Braselton police said it was no accident. They say the person Ngoy locked lips with was a child, and was Ngoy subsequently arrested.
He now faces serious charges.
He told the judge Ngoy has never been in trouble and is a pillar of the community in Canada. What is this? More political correctness in motion, based on the writer's racial background? That alone is not reason to grant him bail for release. It has to be based on personality. Now, his career could stand to face ruin based on the severe charge filed against him. A terrible shame that once again, we have here a #MeToo form of incident that puts another stain on the comics medium as a result.
“He’s a prolific writer of comic books as it relates to building up the African American community,” Patterson said. “That’s why we’re asking the court to grant him a bond of $5,000.”
The judge granted Ngoy that bond. She ordered him to stay away from the victim and stay away from Chateau Elan.

If you don't want him staining your movement, kick him out. It's not a #metoo when you molest a kid, it's a felony and they should receive the worst there is to offer.
