The "influential" creators at this year's Thought Bubble convention in the UK

The Harrogate Advertiser announced what's taking place at the current Thought Bubble convention:
As for Thought Bubble, which runs from November 12-13 at Harrogate Convention Centre, its VIP guests include creators whose work is known and loved across the world with credits on DC, Marvel, Image, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, American Vamper, Warner Brothers, 2000 AD, Iron Man, Thor and many more.

Among the big names coming to Harrogate is comics legend Scott Snyder, known for American Vampire, Detective Comics, Batman and Swamp Thing.

Also headed to Harrogate is iconic Yorkshire artist Tula Lotay (DC Comics, Marvel Entertainment, Image Comics, Warner Brothers), New York Times bestselling comic book author James Tynion IV (Batman, Something is Killing the Children) and British comic creator Kieron Gillen (Star Wars, Iron Man, Thor).
Wow, the writers who're responsible for perpetuating the awful retcon to Golden Age Green Lantern Alan Scott as homosexual, and retconning Tony Stark's biological parents into adoptive ones. And that's surely just for starters. Even Snyder's overrated, so to just call him a "legend" is laughable in this modern era. And while I'm disillusioned with Frank Miller, let's not forget this same convention threw him under the bus because for the sake of somebody who hated that he penned Holy Terror over a decade ago. A book which he regrettably disowned several years later. Sometimes, I've wondered if, outside of his Daredevil work, Miller really is one overrated buffoon in his own way. But if he's overrated, then obviously, those creators who are traveling to the Thought Bubble convention this year are too. And it's a shame the MSM won't admit it.

Frank Miller is an amazing writer who changed comics for the much better. His Daredevil and Batman stories are some of the best ever, as well as his independent work later. His initial movies were also pretty amazing. He fought Woke for years and it just became too much if he wanted to continue his career. Comparing any of these modern clowns to Miller is crazy.

  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
